Our history

Battersea Jaculators (Ladies) Swimming Club was founded in 1935. Until the late 1970s it was only for girls and used to team up with various male clubs to take part in mixed galas.

For many years the club was based at the Latchmere Pool in Battersea. However, we moved to Tooting in 1980 when the Latchmere was redeveloped as a leisure pool.

After 22 years at Tooting, we changed our name in 2002 to BJSC Tooting. However, we compete as Battersea Jaculators SC, and are still known to most people as Battersea Jacs.
